Swinging Into Action Golf Challenge

It was the South East Area’s turn to host this year’s Dr Allen Bolton Golf Tournament and Dibden Golf Club was the setting for the usual high standard of golf this event is renowned for. 16 players, from water companies, consultants and regulators braved the sunshine to attempt to win the famous Claret Jug, currently held by last year’s winner Ed Attree. The traditional morning 9-hole Texas Scramble saw two teams at the top of the leaderboard. Apparently not even a count back could separate them so it was agreed, in true Institute style, that the prizes would be shared Like in previous years, the afternoon individual round was again closely fought and 4 players ended up on 37 stableford points; following a count back it was Jonty Stead who claimed the trophy. Out in the field wins over classroom every time!

We are firm believers that practical training out in the field offers many benefits. Last month our UK South Sales Manager Lisa White took 25 leakage technicians from Bristol water and RPS out for some hands on training in Blagdon. This realistic training allows technicians that opportunity to configure our products in real scenarios and create effective testing examples which can then be confidently deployed across any target area for live measurement. The team were introduced to the advanced features of the Eureka3+ and Enigma and were given detailed insights into best practises for setup and results analysis.  Watch out for more updates about "out in the field" training sessions.
